Common Light Education Association was born from a shared belief that every young person—regardless of background—deserves access to meaningful, inclusive, and justice-oriented education. Founded by educators and community members in response to persistent educational inequities, Common Light emerged as a space where learning meets empowerment, and where youth are not only learners but leaders of change.
A future where all youth have the tools, voice, and opportunity to shape a just and inclusive world through transformative educational experiences.
To advance educational equity by designing and delivering inclusive programs and empowering youth through leadership and action research.
We actively challenge systemic barriers and strive for just, accessible, and empowering learning experiences for all.
We honour and uplift the diverse identities, voices, and lived experiences that youth bring to our communities.
We recognize young people as leaders in shaping a more just, informed, and sustainable world. We nurture their capacity to question, lead, and act—locally, nationally, and globally.
We build meaningful partnerships with families, educators, community leaders, and experts to deepen collective impact.
We embed environmental responsibility and long-term systems thinking across our programs, partnerships, and organizational practices.
Our team brings together passionate educators, youth advocates, and community leaders with diverse experiences and a shared commitment to transformative learning.
